Day 24 - Menindee - Home

After three weeks of getting ourselves on the road by 8am, including packing up tents - packing up from a cabin style accommodation was pretty easy.   We hit the road and made good time to Yunta where we all squeezed up on the footpath to refuel.   The route was taking us via Ivanhoe to Hillston, West Wyalong and home.

Morning tea was on the side of the road while the boys got in and changed Tim's tyre which had a good split in the sidewall.   That fixed we pushed on at a good pace on the dirt.   Ivan and Lea left the group at Hillston for a quick side visit, which added an extra 55km and they thought 50 minutes - never thinking they'd catch the group again.   Just out of Camden though, we started catching bits and pieces on Ch 26 so we figured we'd do our best to catch the group before Yass.   We heard Tim say "40 minutes to the end of Darren's trip" as we approached Yass, and it wasn't far from hear that we caught Tim, said our good byes to Darren and continued on to Canberra.   Gerry and Steve had pushed on ahead while Tim stopped to let Hayden transfer back from Darren's car to Tim.

We hit Canberra at 6:30pm, with most hitting Domino's courtesy of Hayden for an easy dinner and car unpack.

So endeth the Story So Far - a great trip, full of destinations, journeys, breakdowns, repairs, fast times and slow - but most of all, a great time with a great bunch of people.   Until next time..
