The Everett's decided to take the bypass road - now all tar - down to Pt. Douglass and stay at the Big 4 at Mowbray River. It was in this river that the only 'real' croc of the trip was seen! While in Port Douglass, we went on an all day barrier reef charter with a heap of whales seen and fantastic snorkeling to be had, We were told we were very lucky because this was only the second sunny day they had had at Port Douglass this season. Jordan and Craig did some scuba diving as well - something we think Jordan will be doing more of. Craig and Jo spent one morning up at Kuranda visiting the markets and the Falls while the boys slept in and swam in the pool back at the Caravan Park. We all then spent the afternoon shopping in Port Douglass. The Everett's travelled down the coast via Bundaberg and Casino arriving home late on day 30. We detoured to visit Cordelia, the town where Jo's dad was born and lived until he moved south during the war, Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour and of course the Rum Distillery at Bundaberg The cane train makes its way
