Philip III the Bold

Philip III the Bold was born on May 1st, 1245 in Poissy, France.¹ Philip III the Bold's father was Louis IX (St. Louis) and his mother was Margaret of Provence. His paternal grandparents were Louis VIII the Lion and Blanche of Castile; his maternal grandfather was Raymond of Provence BERENGER. He was an only child. He died at the age of 40 on October 5th, 1285 in Perpignan. His burial was in St. Denis, France.¹¹
