Richard William Edward was born on July 15th, 1884.1   Richard William Edward's father was Richard John Bodey and his mother was Fannie Creek.  His paternal grandparents were John Bodey and Jane Bowes; his maternal grandparents were William Creek and Susannah Harvey. He had a brother and six sisters, named Clarence Cecil Gilbert, Annie Rose, Ruby May, Gladys Amy Alberta, Ivy Clarice, Hilda Florence and Estelle Beatrice.  He was the second oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 72 in 1956.1
