James Bodey

James was born in 1844 in Glenealy Co Wicklow Ireland.¹ James' father was John Bodey and his mother was Jane Bowes. His paternal grandparents were Matthew Bodey and Ann Eleanor Carr; his maternal grandparents were James Bowes and Susan Bolton. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Matthew, John Joseph, William Thomas, George, Richard John, Joseph, Edward and Ann. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 89 on June 29th, 1933 in Mt Gambier South Australia. His burial was on June 30th, 1933 in Mt Gambier South Australia.¹¹
