Eliza BURGESS

Eliza was born on July 18th, 1851 in Launceston, Tas.¹ Eliza's father was William BURGESS and her mother was Sarah JARMAN. Her paternal grandparents were Richard BURGESS and Johannah SAUNDERS. She had seven brothers and a sister, named William, David, Edward, Frederick, George Henry, Alfred Albert, Walter and Mary Ann. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children. She had a half-brother and eight half-sisters, named Francis, Martha, Louisa Laura, Jane Elizabeth Maria, Isabella Blanche, Alice Mary, Selina (Tottie), Maude and Mabel Isabelle.
