Frederick Robert was born on October 5th, 1880 in Emu Bay. Tasmania.1   Frederick Robert's father was Philip Knight BUGG and his mother was Louisa SMART.  His paternal grandparents were Jonathon BUGG and Anna Maria KING; his maternal grandparents were Anthony SMART and Sarah. He had two brothers and nine sisters, named Philip Knight, Ellis Ernest, Lucy Martha Maud, Louisa Sarah, Sarah Ann, Louisa, Violet May, Elizabeth Ethel, Lily Marian, Daisy Matilda and Charlotte Rose.  He was the fourth oldest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 70 on March 3rd, 1951 in Calder, Tas.2
