Walter Douglas was born in 1883.1   Walter Douglas' father was William BUCK and his mother was Elizabeth Celia SHAW.  His maternal grandparents were Joseph SHAW and Catherine (Kate) WILSON. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Lesley William, Edward Isaac, Cecil Horace, Frederick Charles, Charles Eagle Knight, Edith Lillie, Dorothy Florence, Ethel Kate and Dorothy Beryl.  He was the second oldest of the ten children. He had two half-brothers named Ro(w)land Watson and Ernest Roy.
