Cecil Horace was born in 1886.1   Cecil Horace's father was William BUCK and his mother was Elizabeth Celia SHAW.  His maternal grandparents were Joseph SHAW and Catherine (Kate) WILSON. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Lesley William, Walter Douglas, Edward Isaac, Frederick Charles, Charles Eagle Knight, Edith Lillie, Dorothy Florence, Ethel Kate and Dorothy Beryl.  He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He had two half-brothers named Ro(w)land Watson and Ernest Roy.
