George Lamuel BRIGGS

George Lamuel was born on December 31st, 1788 in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, England. George Lamuel's father was William BRIGGS and his mother was Mary ?. He was an only child. He died at the age of 48 on July 11th, 1837.

General Notes
- George Briggs(arrived Sydney 1806)a sealer and seaman worked on a schooner in the early 1800s, he was employed to barter with the natives for kangaroo skins on the islands on the North and East coasts of Tasmania and to purchase the young grownup females to keep them as their wives and for hunting and catching seals and kangaroos as they were very dexterous.
