Margaret was born on May 2nd, 1852 in Dalry,  Ayrshire, Scotland.1   Margaret's father was Daniel BLUE and her mother was Mary TOWNSEND. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Duguld, John, Colin, Donald\Daniel, James, Mary, Christina and Elizabeth Wilson McLeod.  She was the oldest of the nine children.
