Colin was born on March 24th, 1862 in Dalry,  Ayrshire, Scotland.1   Colin's father was Daniel BLUE and his mother was Mary TOWNSEND. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Duguld, John, Donald\Daniel, James, Margaret, Mary, Christina and Elizabeth Wilson McLeod.  He was the sixth oldest of the nine children.
