Edmund William Gregory was born in 1872.1   Edmund William Gregory's father was Arthur BIRCH and his mother was Sophia Jane LEEDER.  His maternal grandparents were William LEEDER and Hannah Emily FRENCH. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Arthur Moss, Somers Lyle, Lewis Brown, Harry Sanford French, Herbert Ruhamah, Gerald Gourcy Lester, Errol Cyrus Carlton, Selina Evelyn, Sophia Florence and Ida Hannah.  He was the seventh oldest of the eleven children.
