Ann Alford

Ann was born in April 1838 in Tighlin near Ashford.¹ Ann's father was Joseph Alford and her mother was Sarah Bodey. Her paternal grandfather was John Alford; her maternal grandparents were Matthew Bodey and Ann Eleanor Carr. She had three brothers and five sisters, named John, Charles, Matthew, Jane, Jane, Jane, Jane and Jane. She was the sixth oldest of the nine children.
